Lima Senior High School DECA and Early Childhood Education students have advanced past their state competitions and will now compete at the national and international levels.
Nineteen DECA students will compete at the International Competition next month in Anaheim, Calif.
The students qualified after this past weekend’s state contest. Below are the results.
1st Place - Business Solutions Project Management: Nick Fosnaugh, Arian'a Custer and Victoria Holbrook-Phillips
3rd Place - Business Start Up: Kansas Mayes, Brionna Howard and Zaveon Garner
4th Place - Community Giving Project Management: Leaven Johnson, Tia Ward and Leenell Hogan
4th Place - Business Growth Plan: Antione Cowan, Skylar Slaise and J'Breon McDonald
4th Place - JOY Project: Gabby Avalos, Kaitlyn Thompson and Noelle Warnement
Gold Certification - School Based Enterprise, Spartan Higher Grounds: Kaitlyn Thompson and Christian Ackerman
Thrive Certification - Lima DECA I: Davyon Williamson
Thrive Certification - Lima DECA II: Aliyana Coppler and Chase Hipsher

More than 60 students qualified for the state competition, with nearly 30 making it into the top 10 this past weekend in Columbus.
Eight Early Childhood Education students have qualified for the National Educators Rising Competition.
