GRAPHIC
Communications
Graphic Communications offers students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals related to printed and web media. Emphasis is placed on the use of graphic design software to generate text, graphics and photos to create digital media for newsletters, flyers, display ads, forms, manuals, brochures, screen printing and web design.
Students develop skills in such things as digital graphic imaging technologies, print manufacturing processes, screen printing, estimating and costing, web design and photography.
Students learn through hands-on, classroom-based production experiences. The classroom serves as a design and print shop available to the public. Students are eligible to receive college credit at the end of the two-year program for various sections.
Gradautes from the program go on to work in graphic design, print production, web design, screen printing, layout and customer service.
Students who excel in this program tend to be visually creative and embrace computer technology.
