We love our community and are proud to be a part of it. We continue to grow partnerships throughout Lima and Allen County that benefit our students, local business and industry and many others.
We truly are a better school district because of our community and we believe our community is a better place to live because of the Lima City Schools.
Veterans Wall of Honor
The Lima City Schools is in the early stages of planning a Veterans Wall of Honor on the campus of Lima Senior High School.
The memorial will be a way to honor the men and women who graduated from Lima Senior, Central High School or South High School and served active duty in the military. It will be a reminder to our students of the sacrifices made by those who came before them.
Hall of Fame
The Lima City Schools Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame is held every three years and inducts outstanding alumni. The most recent group was inducted October, 2021.
The next induction will be Oct. 10. This year's induction class and ticket information will be released Aug. 1
Class Reunions
LSH Class of of 1975: Aug. 1 & 2. Find all the details and registration form on the "Lima Senior Class of 1975 Reunion" Facebook page. Email any question to LSHclassof1975@gmail.com. Reservation must be made and paid for by July 4, 2025
LSH Class of 1988: Aug. 30, 2025. Meet at Lima Senior at noon to get a tour from the Principal. Next, meet at Golden Corral from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Everyone that wants to attend can just pay for their own meal to avoid collecting money, cancellations of people not attending and/or people deciding to attend and paying deposits that can't be refunded to other facilities/restaurants.
* And then for those who want to do something fun and exciting: ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE has been set up for Sept 5 - Sept. 9 on UTOPIA of the SEAS., departing out of Port Canaveral-Orlando, FL. We've asked that we be seated together in the same area for dinner as a group at 6 p.m. You will have to state this as well at the time of your booking-Class of 1988. I'm sure we will see one another throughout the cruise. But We can then make plans to meet up on Day 3 at CocoCay-exact time frame-TBD. So, everyone can enjoy time seeing old classmates, while enjoying your friends or family that you travel with. The ID # is 106008188. It's not a group discount since there would be no way to guarantee how many people will be attending or any future cancellations could affect a group discount. Volunteer
The Lima City Schools is always eager to have parents and community members volunteer in our schools. The interactions our students have with adult volunteers are always positive and rewarding for both the student and volunteer.
There are a number of ways volunteers can help. And there are many programs to get involved with. Please call the school you are interested in working with for more information.
By law, all district volunteers must have background checks. Call the district Human Resources office at 419-996-3423 or 419-996-3405 for more information on background checks.
